Givenchy Ruch Boots were first introduced in the French fashion house’s Resort 2019 Collection lookbook, reimaging the ruched boot trends in the 80s and 00s.

These newly launched boots are noted for their loosely fit shaft, which has a slouchy construct that catches the now-recurring boot trends. They also assume a Spartan-looking edge from their slightly pointed collars.

In addition to the strong features of the upper part, the design of Givenchy Ruched Boot also pays homage to the traditional feminine aesthetics of shoemaking. The moderately high stiletto heel, shaped like a cone, shows the influence of the famous French shoe designer Maud Frizon’s classic-pump-inspired cone heel. The pointed toe and snugly fitting vamp, meanwhile, wears a vague 50s-ish, haute couture silhouette. This measured construction of the toe and vamp gives the illusion of longer legs and effectively complements the wobbliness of the boot shaft set above.

The making of Givenchy Ruched Boots employs either smooth lamb leather or Nappa leather. The boots come in many colors, from white and black, to tan brown and purple. They suit many styles of outfits and add a unique, interesting touch to the wearer’s appearance.
