Fashion trends in 2018 with the Kardashians

The Kardashians

It’s hard not to keep up with the Kardashians. They’re everywhere.

Their popularity was built through the social media. These ten years on from the first episode of Keeping up with The Kardashians, has left a mark on 2007-2017 fashion. The five sisters, Kourtney, Khloé, Kylie, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, with their outfits have provided the basic rules to get the perfect Kardashian style.

The Kardashians have put much effort intentionally courting the spotlight. Maintaining the fame is pretty much a full-time job and they’ve been very good at it, having kept it going for a decade.

They are indeed mostly “famous for being famous”

Their appearance has definitely left the rest of the world insanely jealous. Just by doing their thing, they started gaining consent, and became a reference point for the new generations. As there’s a saying: “Once were Hollywood divas, then Versace supermodels and now… the Kardashian’s”.

Khlóe Kardashian’s “Revenge Body”

The family has become the most recognizable fashion influencers in the world. The Kardashians’ influence on fashion trends will surely be continuous. Kim, Kourtney, Khlóe, Kendall and Kylie have started many trends. Some questionable, but there is no denying their role in starting something. They start wild and crazy fashion trends that catch on and their millions of fans around the world want to copy them for sure.

“People want what the Kardashians have”!

We all know that members of the Kardashian family each have their own unique personalities. But they do share one thing: a sense of style. They even borrow each other’s clothes from time to time. And we’ll let you in on what they are.

1. Figure-Flattering Outfits

It’s no secret that in addition to all their accomplishments, the Kardashian women are also known for their enviable figures. Because of this, they’re required to dress in ways that show off their figures instead of hiding them. Two-piece midi skirt and crop tops are staples of the Kardashian wardrobe.

Their enviable figures

Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner especially are known for rocking this figure hugging look.

They admit that oversized dress and tops may be comfortable, but unfortunately they’re a no go for this family. They hide their figures, and even worse can make them look heavy. A fitted maxi dress is as close to flowing as you’ll likely see any of the Kardashians go.

2. “Love” is “colorless”

All black and no smile to paparazzi

Have you ever noticed that it seems like the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is almost always wearing black clothes? Sometimes she mixes it up a little, but North West is nearly always spotted in a black outfit.

Black is a more gender neutral color than pink or blue. So she believes it’s a safe bet for her children’s clothing. In fact, the Kardashian family in general wears a ton of black, and it makes sense. Black is flattering, it matches everything, and some people even say that it has a slimming effect. If they aren’t wearing black, you’re likely to see the Kardashians wearing other neutral colors such as nude and white. It’s actually kind of funny that they’re so dedicated to wearing neutral colors like 90% of the time.

But now, in Sep 2018, Kylie has added some prominent colors or even neon colors on her clothes based on her cosmetics products.

3. Bathing suits

Most of us slip into a bathing suit. It means we are in for fun at a beach or pool. But then again, most of us are not members of the Kardashian family. They aren’t shy about showing off their curves in a tight swimsuit. Each member of the family is responsible for finding a style of bathing suit that best suits her and sticking to it.

For Khlóe, that means she sticks to one pieces because she finds them the most flattering on her body.

These ladies, and more, have been rocking plunging one-pieces for years, and we’re totally inspired by their summer suit style.

4. Shape-wear

Even when they aren’t showing massive amounts of cleavage. The Kardashian women are definitely still showing off their curves and put on some shapewear underneath their outfits.

Kim Kardashian has said that: “Sometimes I wear two pairs of body shapers on top of each other—especially when I am heavier, I def double it up. My favorite styles are the Body Wrap shorts and the Spanx footless tights. I put one pair on after the other, and if there’s a longer pair, I always put those on first. But usually, I wear two pairs that are the same length”. They really hold you in and make you feel secure!

5. Uniform

While they do love to try out different styles of clothing and styles, Khlóe Kardashian has admitted that the family does have their own uniform. It’s not as formal as a military uniform. Because it can be worn so many different ways, many people don’t even notice that they’ve seen it so many times.

6. Plastic shoes

Yeezy Plastic shoes

We’re showing you a trend started by the Kardashians plastic shoes.

Jelly shoes have always been in existence but plastic shoes have always received a bad rap in the fashion industry. However, that all changed once Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie started wearing their plastic boots and sandals all around town.

We’ve seen the boots and sandals paired with everything, from denim outfits to two-piece body con sets and now so many stylish divas are wearing the plastic trend from Tokyo to the Los Angeles.

The family definitely deserves a pat on the back for making plastic shoes look like one of the trendiest items to ever hit the fashion industry.

These crazy trends help you push the limits and feel more confident. Maybe you will get some fashion inspo and motivation to dress how you’ve always wanted to, no matter what anyone thinks! Be sure to rock whatever you wear if you’re really inspired by this list.

The Kardashians don’t give a crap about what others think so why should you?!
